What Universal Audio UAFX Galaxy ’74 Tape Echo & Reverb Does
Galaxy ’74 is a stereo UAFX effects pedal built around Universal Audio’s modeling of a mid-1970s tape echo and spring reverb unit. It provides three tape-head patterns, tape speed selection, tap tempo, preamp drive, and selectable spring-reverb styles.
Sound and Workflow
Use the Tape Age control to introduce modeled wow, flutter, and tape oxidation, then combine echo and reverb through dual stereo engines. USB-C and Bluetooth support UAFX Control app management and MIDI control.
Analog Gold Take
Choose Galaxy ’74 for Space Echo-style movement, echo, and spring ambience in a compact hardware pedal; it models tape behavior rather than using physical tape. Used Universal Audio UAFX Galaxy ’74 Tape Echo & Reverb? Leave a review.
