What Tape Cassette 2 Does

Tape Cassette 2 emulates the warmth, noise and character of old tape cassettes. It includes a selectable Type 1 cassette impulse response, a saturation algorithm, real sampled tape noise, wow and flutter controls, dual VU meters and selectable oversampling.

Sound and Workflow

Use the low-pass control and cassette response for softened highs and warm tape tone, then bring in noise and modulation for more obvious movement. It can sit across a whole track or on individual channels, and its parameters can be pushed beyond hardware-style limits for experimental sound design.
