TAIP is an AI-powered tape saturator built to model the sound and non-linear behavior of a classic 1970s tape machine. Its controls let you add saturation, compression-like glue, wear, noise and warble, with filters for preserving low and high frequencies.
Baby Audio trained the model on in-house generic material such as sine sweeps and white noise, then separated tape characteristics into adjustable features. Use it lightly to add density and color, or drive it into more obvious lo-fi distortion and instability.
TAIP makes sense when you want tape-style weight and control without committing to a fixed hardware model or a heavily degraded cassette sound.
