What SYS-100 Drums Does
Wave Alchemy built 396 original drum sounds from layered synthesis on a vintage semi-modular synth and supplies four versions of each, totaling 1,584 hits. The treatments are unprocessed, hardware-processed, tape-bounced, and cut to vinyl.
Sound and Workflow
The tape folder passed through a quarter-inch Studio A80 MK1; the vinyl folder was recorded via a Neumann VMS 70 mastering lathe. The main ZIP also includes mapped kits; it is distinct from the separate Ableton Live edition.
Analog Gold Take
Choose this when you want to hear the same synth drum design clean, driven, tape-colored, or vinyl-cut before placing it in a beat.
