What Soultown Drums Does
Layercake Samples recorded live drums and processed loops through vintage studio gear, then supplied separate VHS- and cassette-resampled versions of 10 drum grooves. The product lists 69 total files including loops, fills, hits, and stems.
Sound and Workflow
Use the main grooves as a starting point and swap in a videotape or cassette variant for extra wear. The page does not claim every file was processed through both media.
Analog Gold Take
Choose this for recorded drum performances with actual VHS and cassette variants rather than a generic vintage drum-machine kit.
