Westwood Instruments built Lost Synth from 80 sounds sourced from vintage analog synthesizers, with over 200 presets. Its controls let you combine and shape layers, use the MEMORIES engine for arpeggiated parts, and randomize settings with GET LOST. It runs in the free Kontakt Player version 6.6.1 or later and supports NKS.
The source instruments include the Juno 60, Polysix, Logan String Melody II and ARP Odyssey. Westwood re-sampled sounds through guitar pedals, tape delays and reel-to-reel equipment, giving the library processed textures rather than only raw synth captures. The official page includes music demos and a walkthrough to hear those sounds in context.
Lost Synth suits producers who want vintage hardware as the starting point but prefer the sound already pushed through a processing chain. Its layered instrument and rhythmic MEMORIES engine make sense when a static sample is not enough for the part you are writing.
