What Korg MS-20 Mini Does

The MS-20 Mini is an 86-percent-scale recreation of Korg’s 1978 MS-20, using a two-VCO, two-VCF, two-VCA analog architecture. Its high-pass and low-pass filters self-oscillate and add the distortion associated with the original circuit.

Sound and Workflow

Patch its modulation and control connections with the supplied mini cables, or route a microphone, guitar, or other source into the external signal processor to control the synth from external pitch or volume. MIDI In and USB-MIDI connect it to a DAW or sequencer.

Analog Gold Take

Choose the MS-20 Mini for aggressive vintage filter character and experimental external-audio patching, rather than smooth polyphonic analog pads. Used Korg MS-20 Mini? Leave a review.
