KazioTron Keys

What KazioTron Keys Does

Goldbaby sampled 1980s home keyboards and provides playable patches for Logic Pro EXS-24/Sampler. The sounds cover soft keys, woozy synth tones and imperfect leads, with untreated versions alongside cassette recordings. The pack also includes versions for Kontakt, Ableton Live and TAL-Sampler.

Sound and Workflow

Goldbaby recorded instruments including Casio VL-1, SK-1 and MT-series keyboards through multiple cassette decks and tape types, with occasional modulation pedals. Play the Logic patches in Sampler for the worn version or use the clean samples when you want the home-keyboard tone without tape processing. The maker notes that sampler-specific controls differ between formats.

Analog Gold Take

Choose KazioTron Keys if you want real cassette-recorded home-keyboard sounds already mapped for Logic, rather than a tape-effect plug-in to process your own audio.
