What DX7 V Does

Arturia models the six-operator FM synthesis of the Yamaha DX7 and retains its original algorithms and parameters. The plugin also imports DX7 SysEx patches and adds extra waveforms, modulation, arpeggiation, and effects.

Sound and Workflow

Start from the included FM presets for electric pianos, basses, marimbas, and synths, or program new sounds in the expanded editor. This is a software model, not a library sampled from physical DX7 hardware.

Analog Gold Take

Pick this when you want to play or program the DX7-style FM sound itself, rather than purchase a fixed set of DX7 samples.
