DAW Cassette emulates a cassette tape deck as an effect for audio in a DAW. Tape, head and motor quality controls shape saturation, frequency response and speed consistency. Choose Normal, Chrome or Metal tape, adjust noise and noise-reduction emulation, then blend the processed sound with the dry/wet mix.
Klevgrand frames the sound around 1980s cassette recording, with distortion, noise and wobble. The additional controls include channel crosstalk, tape-head tilt and a four-band EQ. Lower motor quality adds pitch movement, while the noise-free option lets you use cassette coloration without added noise.
Choose DAW Cassette when you want to shape cassette wear by adjusting the tape, head and motor separately, rather than applying one fixed degraded sound. The dry/wet control and noise-free option also make it practical when a track needs just some of that cassette character.
