Cassette Tape Organ

What Cassette Tape Organ Does

Go Outside sampled a 1950s Wurlitzer vacuum-tube organ and processed its recordings through multiple cassette tape sources. The paid Decent Sampler instrument provides six selectable sample sets and controls for shaping the organ sound. Use it for playable vintage keys with audible tape character.

Sound and Workflow

The creator used different cassette paths, including a Coby shoebox recorder and a microcassette deck, to give the original organ contrasting degrees of wear. Load the instrument in the free Decent Sampler player; the paid full version is separate from the free edition. The creator also provides audio demos of Cassette Tape Organ.

Analog Gold Take

Choose the paid version if you want the fuller set of cassette-treated organ variations rather than the separate free edition.
