What 80s VHS Synths Ableton Live Pack Does
Brian Funk sampled sounds from the Prophet 6, Moog Realistic Concertmate, Novation Bass Station, Korg Volca FM, and other synths onto VHS tape with an old VCR. He then built 58 Ableton Live instrument racks from those recordings.
Sound and Workflow
Play the synths with tape warmth, noise, and pitch inconsistencies already baked into the samples. Requires Ableton Live 9.6 Standard or later.
Analog Gold Take
Choose this when you want synth audio actually recorded to VHS, not just a clean synth with a VCR-style effects rack.
